In the era of technological advancement, artificial intelligence (AI) has become an indispensable tool that supports the daily work of Product Managers in the pharmaceutical industry.

AI not only increases the efficiency and speed of operations but also opens up new possibilities in creating and managing marketing campaigns.

For some time now, we have been using various AI-based applications and can share some tips based on our experience so far. The AI era certainly brings us many functional solutions and support in our daily work. Here are a few practical applications of AI that can significantly facilitate the work of a Product Manager.

Automatic Text Translation

One of the daily challenges for a Product Manager is the need to translate various marketing materials, articles, and forms into Polish. Sometimes, there is also a need to translate into other languages. This can be a nuisance in daily work, with the need to pay for translations and the long lead times for these services. Thanks to advanced AI applications such as DeepL, this process becomes quick and efficient. AI ensures high-quality translations that are not only linguistically correct but also take into account the context and specifics of the pharmaceutical industry.

For simple translations, such as writing emails, translating, and responding to various letters or inquiries, Chat GPT also serves as an excellent tool. It is a very effective tool whose translation quality, according to many sources, surpasses that of the classic Google Translate. However, despite its effectiveness, Chat GPT, unlike DeepL, is unable to maintain the original format of the document.

Creating Content for Promotional Materials

Generative AI models like Chat GPT enable the creation of advanced promotional content. A Product Manager can use these tools to generate articles, social media posts, product descriptions, and other marketing materials. AI helps in creating consistent and engaging content that is tailored to the needs and expectations of the target audience.

However, the key to success lies in mastering the use of this chat. The skill of entering so-called prompts, or commands, can be acquired “on the go,” but it is also beneficial to use many tips available online or even specific instructions. An experienced user can achieve satisfactory results with just a few well-constructed prompts.

It’s important to remember that no AI tool can read our minds. Therefore, the commands entered must be very precise, and above all, we must provide the chat with the appropriate content we want it to use in creating promotional material.

Video Editing and Adding Text

In today’s marketing, video communication plays a crucial role. It is the most effective tool, though for various reasons, it is not as frequently used in Rx drug marketing. AI video editing tools with built-in AI functions allow for the quick and professional editing of promotional videos. AI can automatically generate subtitles, translate dialogues, and even suggest the best shots and visual effects, significantly reducing production time and improving the quality of video materials.

Solutions like Eleven Labs or Runway can be used not only in the creation of professional promotional materials but also, and perhaps most importantly, in the preparation of internal video materials promoting various events or as an addition to internal marketing communication and marketing presentations.

Materials received from “headquarters,” usually in English, can be quickly and efficiently translated into Polish, both by automatically adding subtitles and by inserting a selected professional voiceover.

Creating Attractive Graphics

Creating visually appealing graphic materials is key in marketing. AI tools like the “simple” Canva or the more professional and training-intensive Midjourney allow for the quick and easy creation of professional graphics, presentations, and infographics. Thanks to AI functions, Product Managers can unleash their creativity by creating a variety of images and automatically adjusting their sizes for different platforms, selecting the best layouts and colors, and adding visual effects that enhance the attractiveness of the materials.

Attractive graphics also provide the opportunity to convey visual messages or creatively enhance internal communication. Adding graphics that express the essence of communication to a marketing presentation without having to rely on external “stock” images will not only be quick and cost-effective but also very attractive and inspiring.

Data Analysis and Trend Forecasting

AI supports Product Managers in analyzing large data sets, which helps in better understanding the market and forecasting future trends. Tools like IBM Watson Analytics or Google Analytics with AI functions are highly professional tools that enable the quick and precise processing of data, helping in making more accurate marketing decisions.

For less advanced AI specialists, Chat GPT remains a viable option, gaining more functions and capabilities each month. It also allows us to analyze trends, process data, and draw conclusions based on tabular data. Even if using them may still seem risky, the data obtained from automated calculations are an excellent basis for further analysis and discussion.

Support in Corporate Meetings

AI can greatly improve the organization and flow of corporate meetings, which is crucial for team efficiency in any industry.

AI tools like MS Teams or Zoom offer an automatic meeting transcription feature. This allows each participant to focus on the discussion instead of taking notes. AI records the entire meeting and converts spoken words into text, which can be reviewed later. The transcriptions are accurate and can be easily searched, making it easier to find specific information after the meeting. Everything can be received as text minutes sent via email or posted on a shared drive.

Advanced AI tools can not only transcribe meetings but also analyze their content, even the emotions expressed by meeting participants. AI can identify key topics, trends in discussions, and extract the most important points from conversations. This allows Product Managers to quickly summarize the main conclusions from meetings without having to review the entire transcription.

AI can also automatically generate meeting summaries that include the most important discussion points, decisions, and assigned tasks. Tools like Microsoft Teams, which integrate AI, can create concise summaries that are easy to review and share with the team.

During corporate meetings, tasks are often assigned for completion. AI can automatically create task lists based on the discussion and assign them to the appropriate people. AI tools can analyze the content of meetings and generate tasks, which are then immediately added to projects.

To sum up…

These are just a few examples of how AI can be applied in modern pharmaceutical marketing. Each day, week, and month brings us new solutions. The use of artificial intelligence in the daily work of a Product Manager thus brings many benefits, from increased efficiency and time savings to improved quality of marketing materials. AI supports the automation of routine tasks, the creation of content and graphics, and data analysis, allowing Product Managers to focus on the more creative and strategic aspects of their work. Thanks to AI, Product Managers can more effectively promote pharmaceutical products while increasing their efficiency and precision in operations.
